Letterboxd only exports from a web browser, never from its own app, which is where most people get stuck. OnTheList gives you a button that opens it in one. Sign in, go to Settings, then Import & export, then Export your data, and a ZIP downloads.
In OnTheList, open Import your watch history and pick the file you just downloaded. You do not need to unzip it or find the right file inside.
A Letterboxd export lists titles and years rather than IDs, so remakes and reissues occasionally need a human eye. You see what it found and choose what to bring before anything lands on your list, and Undo takes the whole import back out.

What a list of four hundred films does not tell you is which three are on a service you already pay for tonight.
